The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of all warehouse, logistics and distribution activities while delivering exceptional levels of customer service. Reporting directly to the Logistics Director, the role encompasses logistics coordination, warehouse administration, inventory control, transport management, export documentation and customer service functions. A key aspect of the position is providing operational leadership and continuity during periods when the Logistics Director is absent.

The successful candidate will be expected to oversee the day-to-day running of the warehouse, coordinate logistics operations, and ensure business activities continue efficiently and effectively. The role requires excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, sound commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate must be proactive, self-motivated, and capable of taking ownership of issues through to resolution. The Logistics Coordinator will be expected to maintain the highest professional standards at all times.

You will work closely with clients, suppliers, transport partners, retail concessions, and colleagues, ensuring the company's reputation for quality, service and reliability is upheld and enhanced through every interaction. Representing Indian Ocean professionally at all times, ensuring the company’s reputation, standards, and brand image are maintained when dealing with clients, suppliers, transport partners, retail concessions, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and schedule customer deliveries and collections.
  • Coordinate and schedule incoming goods and supplier deliveries.
  • Liaise with transport providers, couriers, pallet networks, and export agents.
  • Prepare logistics, transport and export documentation.
  • Support warehouse operations, stock control and stock taking.
  • Coordinate workloads and priorities to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain premium brand standards.
  • Ability to oversee warehouse operations in the absence of the Logistics Director.
  • Maintain warehouse administration, reports, and records.
  • Assist with Fleet Management Administration.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and security requirements.
Experience and Skills:
  • Strong experience in logistics, warehouse operations and supply chain administration.
  • Experience coordinating deliveries and transport providers.
  • Experience with stock control and inventory systems.
  • Strong logistics, warehousing, and stock control experience.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Confident decision-maker capable of working independently.
  • Professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Competent in managing relationships with suppliers, carriers, and colleagues.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong administrative and record-keeping abilities with high level of accuracy.

  • Expert in Microsoft Office applications in particular Excel.
