Responsibilities
- Management Reporting: Producing accurate Monthly Management Accounts and required Financial Information, performing variance analysis, providing commentary on financial performance, and reconciling intercompany transactions and balances.
- Reporting: Preparing and compiling Monthly Finance Packs and Board Packs to support business planning and review.
- Cashflow Management: Taking full responsibility for cash flow, reporting, and addressing concerns or opportunities.
- Payroll & Compliance: Ensuring payroll is promptly prepared, approved and processed in line with SLAs and timelines, processing bonus and expense submissions, and liaising with HMRC for regulatory compliance.
- Sales Ledger: Production and issuance of all required sales invoices to external entities and group companies in line with SLAs and processes.
- Credit Control: Proactively chasing clients with outstanding invoices to secure prompt payments.
- Inbound Client Queries: Responding to finance-related emails and requests in line with SLAs, building relationships with key contacts where possible.
- Strategy Implementation: Developing and executing agreed actions and strategies to achieve outcomes.
- Weekly Update Reports: Issuing a Weekly Update Report every Monday morning before 10:00am using the current template.
- Events: Attend industry events as required to gain experience.
- Ad-hoc Duties: Completing any ad-hoc tasks or initiative requests from line managers or leadership teams.
- Internal Meetings: Organising and contributing to weekly or ad-hoc finance meetings.
- Purchase Ledger: Reviewing, approving and processing supplier or intercompany invoices on Bankline in line with SLAs.
- Financial Controls & Governance: Maintaining internal controls, performing reconciliations, and supporting audits.
- Systems & Process Improvement: Documenting and streamlining finance processes and supporting system development.
- Stakeholder Support: Acting as a point of contact for directors, managers and external stakeholders with financial insight for decision-making.
- KPI Reporting: Tracking and reporting financial and operational KPIs to measure business performance.

- Experience in a similar accounting or finance role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes, VAT, P&L reporting, and credit control.
