The Opportunity
Indevor Group is looking for a Salesforce Technician to join our growing IT function at our Chorley office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with around 2–3 years’ experience within Salesforce, CRM administration or systems support who wants more than a traditional support role. We’re looking for someone who enjoys getting under the bonnet of systems – improving how Salesforce works, automating processes, solving problems and helping us get more from technology as the Group continues to grow. You’ll take day-to-day ownership of our Salesforce platform while working closely with the Group IT Manager and teams across the wider business.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Administer, maintain and support the Group’s Salesforce platform
- Manage users, profiles, roles, permissions and system access
- Configure objects, fields, page layouts, record types and validation rules
- Create and improve Salesforce reports and dashboards
- Build and maintain Salesforce Flows and automated processes
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes through automation
- Work with departments to understand requirements and develop practical Salesforce solutions
- Maintain data quality, including cleansing, imports, exports and duplicate management
- Support Salesforce integrations and troubleshoot data-flow issues
- Investigate Salesforce errors and resolve technical issues
- Support testing and deployment of new functionality and system enhancements
- Provide Salesforce guidance and support to users across the Group
- Maintain technical and system documentation
- Provide wider IT support including Microsoft 365, hardware, software and user accounts
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding from a systems perspective
- Work with external IT and software providers when required
- Keep up to date with Salesforce developments and identify opportunities to improve how we work
What We’re Looking For
- Around 2–3 years’ experience within Salesforce, CRM, systems administration or IT support
- Hands-on experience administering Salesforce in a commercial environment
- Knowledge of Salesforce users, permissions, objects, fields, reports and dashboards
- Experience or knowledge of Salesforce Flow and automation
- Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of data quality, integrity and security
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confidence communicating technical information to non-technical users
- Good Microsoft 365 knowledge
- A proactive mindset with a genuine interest in improving systems and processes
- Salesforce Administrator certification would be advantageous, but is not essential
