We’re Hiring – Real Estate Senior Account Handler/Claims Handler (Casualty) in Chelmsford or Glasgow – Hybrid Working. Up to £41,000 + Bonus. Hybrid Working (4 days in through probation, then dropping to 3 days in the office and 2 from home).
I’m working with a leading independent loss adjusting business that is looking for an experienced Real Estate Senior Account Handler to join its Casualty team.
You’ll manage UK and European Real Estate Casualty claims from cradle to grave, primarily involving Public Liability injury and third-party property damage.
The role will involve:
- Desktop handling of UK and European casualty claims
- Investigating policy coverage, liability and reserves
- Managing delegated and non-delegated claims
- Acting as a technical referral point when required
- Managing client accounts and attending client meetings
- Liaising with insurers, brokers, insureds and adjusters
- Producing client reports, MI and performance information
- Managing files proactively and meeting agreed SLAs
What we’re looking for:
- At least 2 years casualty claims-handling experience
- Strong Public Liability injury and TPPD experience
- Experience handling claims from cradle to grave
- Knowledge of UK claims protocols, including the low-value claims portal
- Confidence managing a significant caseload and client accounts
- Strong technical, communication and report-writing skills
- A professional claims qualification, or progress towards one, would be desirable
- Real Estate, European claims experience or additional European language skills would be beneficial, although they are not essential.
