Role Overview: We have a fantastic opportunity for a Domestic Major Loss Adjuster to join a global business. In this role, you will manage major and complex domestic loss cases exceeding £100,000. You will work closely with internal and external specialists, requiring expert negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and clear communication. This position offers a healthy work/life balance with a mix of home and office-based working and dedicated technical and managerial support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the management of high-value domestic loss cases.
- Coordinate with policyholders, insurers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure clear and effective communication to explain complex details and negotiate settlements.
- Work collaboratively with a team to provide top-notch service and solutions.
Team & Structure Highlights:
- Ring-Fenced Team: Work within a dedicated DM team on hourly chargeable rates, a unique approach in the industry.
- Strong Support: Each Loss Adjuster is assigned an Executive; no claim is handled alone.
- Caseloads: Typically 40 - 45 major loss claims per year.
- Progression & Development: Structured progression programs, actively supporting CILA qualifications and technical growth.
- Bonuses & Recognition: A lucrative bonus scheme rewards high performance.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Full UK Driving Licence for necessary travel.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience in handling complex domestic losses exceeding £100,000, or strong ambition to progress to this level.
- CILA status or working towards qualification is preferred, but candidates with strong technical and communication skills are welcome.
- Familiarity with Apple software such as iPads or other tablets.
- Comprehensive training specific to company standards.
