Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Aviation Underwriter to join a dynamic insurance environment. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of aviation risks, providing innovative and tailored solutions for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite a wide range of general aviation risks, including private aircraft, corporate aviation, and specialty exposures
- Assess and analyze risk submissions, including technical specifications, pilot experience, and operational factors
- Maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients, providing professional guidance and support
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate pricing, coverage, and risk management
- Monitor and manage portfolio performance, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines
Requirements
- Proven experience in underwriting aviation risks
- Strong technical knowledge of aircraft operations, liability exposures, and aviation regulations.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse portfolio of risks.
- Professional qualifications (ACII, Dip CII, or equivalent) preferred.
