Do you want the opportunity to work directly with a business owner in a growing, entrepreneurial brokerage where you can genuinely shape your career progression?

We are currently recruiting an Account Executive for an independent commercial insurance broker based in Essex, offering exposure across both regional and London Market placements. This is a great opportunity to broaden your market experience while maintaining a strong focus on client and broker relationships. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Essex or London.

What you will do:

  • Manage and develop relationships with existing wholesale broker partners
  • Actively win new broker relationships and support growth of the existing book
  • Work closely with insurers and underwriters across a range of commercial classes
  • Handle a varied portfolio spanning retail, wholesale and London Market placements
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to overall book growth
  • Collaborate across broking functions to ensure smooth placement and client service

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years’ experience in commercial insurance (broking or underwriting)
  • Current experience as an Account Executive, Broker, Development Executive or Senior Account Handler
  • Exposure to a broad range of commercial classes such as Property, Liability, Commercial Combined, Professional Risks or similar
  • A commercially minded, ambitious approach with strong relationship-building skills
  • Interest in progressing into more complex and market-facing London Market business

This is an excellent opportunity for someone working in a regional or retail broker who is looking to step into a broader, more market-facing role without losing the client-facing and new business element of their work.
