Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Sales Staff role based at the Indespension branch in Shiremoor.
The Sales Staff member will welcome customers, identify their needs, and provide informed advice on trailers, towing products, parts, and services.
Day-to-day responsibilities include processing sales transactions, preparing quotations, and maintaining accurate product and pricing information.
The role involves assisting with stock displays, ensuring the showroom and yard are clean and safe, and coordinating with the workshop team for towbar fitting and trailer servicing bookings.
The Sales Staff member will also handle telephone and email enquiries, support promotional activities, and contribute to a positive, customer-focused environment.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and sales skills, including the ability to build rapport, understand customer needs, and close sales.
- Basic technical understanding or willingness to learn about trailers, towing equipment, and related parts.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain products and services clearly to a diverse range of customers.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple enquiries, bookings, and sales tasks efficiently.
- Comfort with using point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications for data entry, email, and inventory checks.
- Ability to work safely in a workshop and yard environment, including handling light manual tasks and following health and safety procedures.
- Previous experience in retail, automotive, trade counter, or a similar customer-facing role is beneficial but not essential.
