Looking for a New Career Rather Than Just Another Job? You don't need years of specialist experience for this role. We're looking for reliable, hardworking people with some practical work experience who want to learn, develop new skills, and build a long-term career. If you've worked in industrial cleaning, commercial cleaning, maintenance, construction, warehousing, manufacturing, labouring, facilities management, or another hands‑on role, we'd love to hear from you.

Full training will be provided on specialist ventilation hygiene cleaning, grease extraction systems, fire damper inspections and testing, giving you the opportunity to develop into a skilled Industrial Cleaning Operative and progress into Fire Damper Engineering and other specialist fire safety services.

The Role

Working as part of a two‑person team, you'll travel throughout the Glasgow region supporting a wide range of customers including:

  • Hospitals
  • Schools
  • Care Homes
  • Military Sites
  • Residential Buildings
  • Commercial Properties
  • Industrial Kitchens

You'll carry out specialist cleaning and maintenance work that helps keep buildings safe, compliant and operational. No two days are the same, and you'll regularly work on sites that most people never get the opportunity to access.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Cleaning commercial kitchen extraction and ventilation systems
  • Removing grease deposits from ventilation ductwork
  • Using specialist cleaning equipment and chemicals
  • Working safely at height using ladders and access equipment
  • Working within confined spaces when required
  • Travelling throughout your allocated region
  • Supporting fire damper inspections and testing following training
  • Completing work safely and professionally to industry standards

What We're Looking For

We're much more interested in attitude than extensive qualifications. You'll need:

  • A full UK driving licence
  • Some previous practical or hands‑on work experience
  • Good timekeeping and reliability
  • A strong work ethic
  • The willingness to work evenings, nights and early mornings
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • The ability to pass a DBS check (no unspent convictions)

Working Hours

This role involves working a mixture of evenings, nights and early mornings, as much of the work is carried out when customer sites are closed. Flexibility is essential, but you'll benefit from consistent work, regular earnings and excellent opportunities for overtime.

What You'll Receive

  • Salary up to £30,000 depending on skills and background
  • Overtime opportunities to increase earnings
  • Full training and ongoing development
  • Career progression into Fire Damper Engineering and specialist fire safety services
  • Pick‑up and drop‑off from home
  • Company vehicle for work purposes
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Life Assurance (3x annual salary)
  • Access to 24/7 Online GP appointments
  • Vivup employee discounts and benefits platform
  • Uniform, PPE and specialist equipment provided
  • Long‑term career opportunities within a growing national business
