Bristol, England. Primary Care - Vet Surgeon – Small Animal /Zetland Vets, Redland. At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. This role will involve providing holiday and sickness cover across our eight sites, offering plenty of variety and the opportunity to work with different teams. We're looking for a confident Veterinary Surgeon who is comfortable with routine surgery, consulting and working sole charge when required.

How You'll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you'll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload. Inpatient/ward shifts involve looking after our inpatients including any investigation required, seeing any urgent/emergency appointments throughout the day.

Working Pattern

  • 38.7 hours per week
  • Four days per week 8.30am-6.30pm with occasional late shifts 10.30am-8.30pm.
  • Saturday shifts (3 in 11): Fishponds - 9am-4pm, consulting only, Zetland Hospital - 8.30am-5.00pm, either consulting only shift or ward/inpatient/emergency shift

  • You are a confident and motivated veterinary surgeon who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to delivering high-quality patient and client care.
  • A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS.
  • Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development.
  • Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
