The Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM) is an award-winning professional body representing musicians across the UK. With over 11,000 members, we provide a wide range of services including legal support, advice, and health and wellbeing provision, alongside leading campaigning work on issues such as music education, AI and Brexit.
We are seeking a Website and Marketing Manager to take ownership of the ISM website and play a key role in growing our membership and influence. The website is built on WordPress and must clearly communicate the breadth of our member services while showcasing our high-impact campaigning work.
Key responsibilities- Managing and developing the ISM website (WordPress)
- Ensuring the website is visually engaging, user-focused and informative
- Optimising functionality, performance and accessibility
- Maintaining high technical standards and security
- Keeping the website ahead of digital trends and best practice
- Supporting organisational goals around membership growth and influence
- At least five years’ experience working on websites
- Strong technical skills combined with an eye for design and user experience
- Proactive, with excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and emotional intelligence
- A musical background is highly desirable
