Director of Summer School Programme

Tonbridge School is one of the leading boys’ boarding schools in the country and is highly respected internationally. Founded in 1553, the School combines a rich history with a forward-thinking approach, offering an exceptional education to around 800 boys, aged 13 to 18. With a focus on academic excellence, co-curricular breadth, and outstanding pastoral care, Tonbridge aims to develop confident, well-rounded, and compassionate young men who are prepared to make a meaningful contribution to the world.

The Director of Summer School Programme is a new role at Tonbridge School, responsible for the development, management, and delivery of the School’s Summer School Programme, set to launch in summer 2026. This initiative will offer visiting international students the opportunity to make the most of Tonbridge’s outstanding facilities and extensive campus, including world-class academic buildings, Boarding Houses, and state-of-the-art sports facilities. Students will be able to experience Tonbridge’s academic, co-curricular, and pastoral provision alongside enriching cultural and social activities.

The Director will lead on all aspects of the programme, including its design, promotion, and operations. Key responsibilities will include creating a high-quality academic curriculum, recruiting and managing a dedicated team, and ensuring the smooth delivery of an engaging schedule of activities. This role requires vision and strong organisational skills to establish a programme that reflects Tonbridge School’s values and reputation for excellence.

By providing visiting students with an unforgettable experience in a welcoming environment, the Director of Summer School Programme will play an important role in bringing this exciting new venture to life and in showcasing Tonbridge to an international audience.
