Key Responsibilities- Deliver individualized Orton‑Gillingham instruction
- Assess students’ literacy skills and use data to inform instruction
- Develop and implement structured literacy lesson plans
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, resource staff, and families
- Maintain clear documentation of student progress and programming
- Support a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Maintain regular, professional communication with parents regarding student progress, milestones, and strategies for home support
- Provide detailed progress reports at the end of each term or grading period
- Orton‑Gillingham training (Associate, Certified, or in progress)
- Degree or certification in Education, Special Education, or a related field
- Experience working with students with learning disabilities
- Strong understanding of structured literacy and phonics‑based instruction
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Experience in a school‑based setting is an asset
- Supportive, collaborative school environment
