From September 2026, this substantial part-time Teacher of Art and Design with Ceramics post is suitable for an enthusiastic and talented teacher or a returner to the profession, who can teach Art and Design, with a focus on Ceramics, up to GCSE.

We wish to appoint a part-time Teacher of Art and Design with Ceramics from September 2026. This is an opportunity to work in a highly regarded and successful girls’ independent school with motivated pupils and a very supportive ethos.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate should be prepared to play a full role in the life of the School and be able to offer a contribution to the co-curricular programme. The department is very well resourced and has dedicated areas that provide a broad range of artistic and technological activities. There are painting facilities, Textiles and Ceramics Studios and a computer suite all with Creative Cloud installed. The Sixth Form have their own facilities upstairs in the Old Stable Block where Photography and Painting at A level are also taught. There is a dark room, photography studio and classrooms.

The department is well resourced with dedicated spaces for Art and Design, Textiles and Ceramics, and a computer suite with Creative Cloud. Sixth Form facilities include Photography and Painting at A level, a dark room and a photography studio.

Salary according to qualifications and experience on Farnborough Hill’s own generous pay scale.
