Overview

The Royal Hospital School Combined Cadet Force (CCF) seeks volunteers for the Cadet Force Adult Volunteer (CFAV) team. The CCF is a valued part of school life, providing leadership, teamwork and personal development opportunities to pupils aged 13–18. The Royal Hospital School is a leading independent co-educational boarding and day school for 11–18 year olds, set in 200 acres of Suffolk countryside overlooking the River Stour.

Responsibilities

  • Support Saturday morning sessions (10am–12pm).
  • Take part in camps, trips and adventurous activities throughout the year.
  • Contribute to leadership, teamwork and personal development of pupils aged 13–18.
  • Work as part of a friendly, committed team; training and uniform are provided.

What we’re looking for

  • Passion for working with young people and a readiness for a new challenge.
  • All backgrounds welcome; military experience is not required; skills in leadership, outdoor activities and youth development are encouraged.

Safeguarding and requirements

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Enhanced DBS check; satisfactory references.
  • This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
