Assistant Bursar (Finance)

Start Date – as soon as possible

Salary – £35,000 - £40,000 Per Annum Depending On Qualifications/experience

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Finance professional with strong technical and commercial capabilities, ideally, have experience of working in the Education Sector to join our hard working and collaborative team. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication, a natural enthusiasm and flexibility to engage across a broad variety of activities.

This is a permanent full-time position, working 5 days a week throughout the year (including school holiday periods) with 25 days holiday a year, plus statutory bank holidays.

St Hugh's is a highly regarded co-educational day and boarding school. We are situated on a beautiful green campus of 40 acres in the South Oxfordshire countryside, only 25 minutes from Central Oxford. In June 2025, the Headmaster and Governors announced that St Hugh’s would be opening a Senior School in September 2026. It is a very exciting time to be joining St Hugh’s.
