Our T1/T2 client requires a Permanent Quality Engineer for a high value, niche component project to be based at a facility in North Oxfordshire, UK. The client is a manufacturer of high end, luxury level vehicle vision systems to include cameras and mirrors and they are looking to establish and develop a UK based engineering and design team.

The successful candidate will be expected to have 5 to 7 years of relevant Automotive OEM or T1 automotive experience, any experience of the luxury automotive industry would be beneficial. In depth experience in ISO:9001 in an automotive environment is essential, experience of IATF16949 is desirable.

The candidates will be expected to have the following experience:

  • 5-7 years of relevant Automotive exteriors / mirrors / camera / vision systems quality experience at OEM or Tier 1 supplier level.
  • Excellent supplier / customer liaison skills.
  • Quality tools expert (MSA, 8D, FMEA, Control Plan, etc.).
  • Expert knowledge of ISO 9001 is essential, experience of IATF 16949 would be preferred.
  • Preferably experience of working with high end luxury Automotive OEMs.

Some flexibility needed as some expensed travel will be required between the Customers UK and parent European site, plus potential travel to end customers. The role will involve working in a small, multi-cultural team spread across two European locations with some customer-facing activities, but this will still be a hands-on role. The role may also involve some foreign travel to existing and new clients.
