Circle Rehabilitation is part of Circle Health Group, Britain’s leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. They have an opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to join their team of staff in the psychology department. This is a part time role for 30 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties
- Deliver comprehensive psychological assessments using a range of psychometric, cognitive, behavioural, and clinical methods.
- Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based models (e.g. CBT, ACT, systemic approaches) appropriate to patient needs.
- Actively contribute to MDT working, attending ward rounds, case conferences, family meetings and clinical handovers.
- Support the psychological thinking and wellbeing of the team, offering consultation, advice and reflective practice.
- Adhere to all clinical governance procedures, professional codes of conduct and HCPC/BPS standards.
- Engage in regular audit and evaluation to inform service improvements.
Applicants should meet the following criteria
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent) recognised by the HCPC.
- HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical).
- Experience in working with neurological, complex rehabilitation or physical health populations.
- Evidence of applying psychological theories (CBT, neuropsychology, systemic, etc.) in clinical settings.
- Knowledge of the psychological impact of disability, trauma and adjustment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and teamworking skills.
