The Active Neuro service at the Hunters Moor Neurological Rehabilitation Centre offers rehabilitation, care and support to people with a brain injury or other neurological condition. The service is committed to helping every person they support feel safe, happy, empowered and enabled to live the best life possible.

Role and Responsibilities

The Deputy Manager / Clinical Lead will be a dynamic, visible, and inspirational nursing leader at the heart of our complex neuro services. They will ensure the delivery of outstanding, evidence‑based patient care by driving high clinical standards, cultivating a culture of compassion, dignity, and respect, and championing the diverse needs of our patients and communities. They will analyse clinical trends such as hospital admissions, falls, infection rates, and other key quality indicators; using data to inform decision making, strengthen governance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. A key guardian of quality and safety, the Deputy Manager / Clinical Lead will ensure that the clinical environment remains safe, clean, and well-governed, upholding best practice in infection prevention. They will be central to keeping the unit running smoothly, motivating teams, and ensuring services remain resilient, responsive, and patient-centred. Whilst the Hospital Director retains overall responsibility for the strategic direction of nursing services, the Deputy Manager / Clinical Lead will be the driving force that keeps the unit on track every day leading from the front, inspiring excellence, and ensuring our nursing teams deliver the highest standards of care.
