Join My Team

Location: Denmead, Hampshire

Hours: Part Time (between 18 and 21 hours per week) and Bank plus School Holidays. Typical shifts are on a 2 week rolling rota and include: Monday 8pm - 8am (Waking Night) and Sunday 2pm - 8pm in week 1 and Saturday 8am - 8pm and Sunday 8am to 8pm or 2pm - 8pm in week 2. Additional shifts available on bank 3:30pm - 8pm, Monday to Sunday 8pm to 8am, waking and sleeping nights, weekends and school holidays 8am to 8pm.

Pay:

  • £16.10 per hour for all waking hours (Monday to Sunday)
  • £12.71 per hour for sleeping hours (National Living Wage for age 21+)
  • Bank Holidays paid at 1.5x the applicable rate

Driver Required: Yes, essential

Using Your Own Vehicle: Yes, to get to work (we're not on a good public transport route)

Hi, I'm Tanya! I was born in 2009 and live at home with my mum, dad, and big brother. I love swimming, hydrotherapy, and being around people. I'm very sociable! I have Cerebral Palsy and use a wheelchair. I don't speak with words, but I use a communication folder and non-verbal cues to let you know what I need and how I feel. I'm PEG fed and supported 24/7 by a brilliant team of carers.

What I Need Help With:

I'm looking for kind and committed Support Workers to join my team. You'll help me with everyday tasks, support me at home and out and about, and work alongside my Case Manager and Therapists to help me live my best life.

  • Confident in PEG feeding procedures
  • Skilled in non-verbal communication techniques
  • Experience in providing therapies as part of a care plan
  • Competent in moving and handling, including use of specialist equipment (training provided)
  • Comfortable working in a home environment, respecting the needs and wishes of Tanya and her family
  • Experience supporting individuals with Cerebral Palsy
  • Water confident to assist with hydrotherapy sessions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; IT literate
  • Holds a full driving licence (endorsements must be disclosed)

We work with children and adults who have had moderate or catastrophic, complex injuries.
