Days & Hours: Up to 128 hours per 4 week cycle (average of 36 hours per week, including Deputy Team Leader hours). Flexibility may be required on start and finish times. Part‑time applications are accepted.
Pay:
- £17.00 per hour, Monday to Friday days and waking nights
- £19.00 per hour, weekend days and bank holidays
- £NLW (currently £12.71 p/h for workers age 21 and over) per hour, sleeping nights Monday to Thursday (11pm‑7am)
- £NLW (currently £12.71 p/h for workers age 21 and above) + £1 per hour, weekend and bank holiday sleeping nights (Friday to Sunday, 11pm‑7am)
Driver: Essential – own car required. Must be able to drive the client's adapted vehicle.
Essential Experience: Previous experience working with children/young adults with neuro disability.
Desirable: Experience & qualifications in caring for children/young people with severe disabilities and PEG feeding.
Pet Interaction: Family dog present.
Accommodation: Fully adapted family home with separate carer entrance, carer room and kitchen.
Start Date: ASAP, subject to satisfactory employment checks.

About The Role: Tristan is a young man with complex physical, psychological, and communication needs requiring daily support. You will assist with personal care, activities of daily living and leisure pursuits to increase independence. You’ll drive his adapted vehicle for outings and be on call for staff shortages.
Treasures support: The Deputy Team Leader will assist the Team Leader in running the care team, covering absences, managing the rota, and onboarding new staff. The Support Worker role will involve supporting Tristan with daily living, community outings, and social activities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care, daily living support, and leisure activities for Tristan.
- Drive Tristan in his adapted wheelchair vehicle for community outings.
- Assist the Team Leader in managing staff rota, cover absences and on‑call duties.
- Maintain up‑to‑date care records and perform monitoring and assessment.
- Participate in training and supervision, including clinical and care plan reviews.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- IT literate, able to keep accurate written records.
- Organised and able to adhere to quality standards.
- Experience of following appropriate care plans.
- Experience of handling and hoisting with specialist equipment (training provided).
- Experience of driving and managing a team, including rota formatting.
- Experience of PEG feeding and care of children with severe disabilities (desirable).
- Non‑smoker; operating in a non‑smoking environment.
- Full driving licence; able to drive both own car and Tristan’s adapted vehicle.
- Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including short‑notice shifts.
- Willingness to undertake additional hours.
