Location: Worsley, Manchester

Days & Hours: Permanent hours, 17.5 hours per week. Monday-Friday 4.00pm-7.30pm. Bank hours are also available to cover for absences of the current team, during the week and some weekends as well as trips away.

Pay: £13.12 per hour, Monday to Friday and £15.37 per hour, Weekends and Bank Holidays, £NLW (Currently £12.21 for those age 21 and over).

Essential: Carework experience.

Desirable: Experience supporting adults with physical difficulties. An interest in therapy and supporting the client in trying new things.

Interviews Week Commencing: As and when applications are received. These may be completed via teams video. Start Date: ASAP (subject to satisfactory employment checks).

Introducing our client: Our client has a bubbly personality and sense of fun. She loves looking her best and her personal appearance is very important to her. She has a great sense of humour, is very sociable and loves mini breaks and holidays away with her family and carers. Our client suffered a severe brain injury. She cannot walk and uses a wheelchair. She has regular therapy sessions which you would need to help her with. She loves going out for lunch at the local pub and likes to try out new activities.

You will be joining her small care team where you will be taking direction from our client’s parent and Case Manager to ensure that she receives all the care she requires. Our client requires full assistance with her daily routines and all of her personal care needs. She requires assistance for hoisting, support with monitoring her health needs and providing stimulating company whilst assisting with all daily activities to include therapy and leisure activities.

This role will suit someone who enjoys getting out and about and can bring lots of enthusiasm to support our client in trying new things. This is a wonderful opportunity where you can make a real difference to our client’s life by maximising her opportunities and promoting her independence wherever possible.

Pay and Benefits: £13.12 per hour, Monday to Friday and £15.37 per hour, Weekends and Bank Holidays, £NLW (Currently £12.21 for those age 21 and over). On-going training & support provided, 5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata, Pension (subject to qualifying status), Sick Pay entitlement, Free DBS check.

In order to promote continuity of our high care standards, you will be offered: Induction, Relevant training opportunities (including The Care Certificate), Regular clinical supervision/review meetings, On-going support from a dedicated Team Leader, Case Manager and HR department.
