I am a \"young\" 79-year-old woman looking for a kind, reliable and confident female Personal Assistant to support me with my morning routine.
I live independently in my own home and am looking for someone to help me get up and ready for the day on Sunday, Monday and Friday mornings, from 7.00am until approximately 9.00-9.30am.
I use a stand aid to transfer from my bed to my wheelchair. Your morning with me will include helping me get out of bed, transferring me safely to my wheelchair and assisting me with my shower and personal care. I then return to bed so you can help me with drying and applying creams, followed by some gentle exercises, before transferring me back to my wheelchair.
You will also help prepare my breakfast and make drinks for me to have throughout the day.
No previous care experience is essential, as full training will be provided. What matters most to me is that you are patient, kind, respectful, reliable and willing to learn. You will need to have an ongoing DBS certificate.
I have had PAs stay with me for several years, and two of my long-standing PAs have recently had to leave for personal reasons. I am therefore looking for someone who would enjoy becoming a regular and trusted part of my routine.
I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my great-grandchildren. I also enjoy reading and playing word games.
If you are friendly, dependable and would like to help me maintain my independence and start my days comfortably, I would love to hear from you.
