Responsibilities:
- Medication prompting and administering.
- Eating and drinking assistance.
- Bathroom assistance and personal care.
- Transportation and driving to activities (mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile).
- Companionship and support during outings.
- Follow the Epilepsy Emergency Care Plan and carry Buccal Midazolam at all times (training provided).
- Provide 1:1 support and supervision to ensure safety and wellbeing.
- Encourage safe exploration, support new experiences, and help build awareness of potential dangers.
- Use alternative communication methods to support a semi‑verbal child and help her express herself.
- Respect routines, manage triggers, and provide emotional support.
- Mealtime support (assist with food and drink routines; she feeds herself independently but prefers familiar foods).
- Book activities, pay entrance fees (covered), and order food or drinks as needed.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks that support her enjoyment, safety, and development.
Work Hours:
- Term‑time: 3.5 hours per week, worked at weekends.
- School holidays: 5.5 hours per week, with days and times mutually agreed.
- Job share is open if you cannot cover all hours.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience with autism or epilepsy is preferred (training provided).
- Non‑smoker preferred or willing to refrain from smoking during working hours.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required.
