I am seeking a compassionate and reliable personal assistant/buddy to support my 27-year-old son in accessing the community. He is on the autism spectrum, has Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), and learning difficulties.
He enjoys walk, swimming and engaging in art projects.

Duties include:
Transportation
Companionship
Accompany him to access the community by going on walks and swimming
Candidate qualities:
Respectful of the employer’s privacy and confidentiality
Reliable with good timekeeping
Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
Hygienic, tidy and well organised
Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
Honest and cheerful
Creative
Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
Patience and understanding of autism and PDA
Experience of dealing with autism & PDA essential
Ability to encourage and support his interests
Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
