Location: Bexhill-on-Sea

This role is to support a gentle, easy-going 22-year-old man with complex needs, both at home and out in the community. He enjoys trips along the beach, walks along the seafront, ice cream, the wind blowing in the trees, or relaxing at home with sensory lights and films. He has complex health and mobility needs and requires full support with all aspects of daily life. There is no challenging behaviour; he is calm, rewarding to support, and responds well to kind, consistent, and genuinely invested people.

The candidate should be a woman (exemption claimed under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9). Driver's licence required: Preferred.

Hourly pay rate: £14.40

Responsibilities

  • Personal care assisting with safe moving and handling using hoists and mobility equipment.
  • Accompanying him on outings using a wheelchair-accessible vehicle.
  • NG tube care (full training provided) – administering feeds and medication, carrying out flushes and equipment checks, monitoring comfort, and keeping accurate records.
  • Engagement being good company and a positive, dependable presence.
  • Household support – light household tasks such as laundry, tidying, and some cleaning.
  • Teamwork eating and drinking assistance; moving and handling; dressing/undressing; bathroom assistance; other relevant duties as required.
