We are seeking a compassionate and reliable self-employed Personal Assistant to assist a female in her day-to-day life, helping her maintain independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
This is a temporary cover position to support her while her usual Personal Assistant is on leave for medical treatment.
Duties include:
Community Engagement & Appointments
- Accompany to appointments.
- Running errands such as parcel drop-offs (if applicant has own car).
Social & Family Connections
- Enable her to maintain meaningful relationships and visit friends in the community.
Home Environment
Assist with maintaining a clean and habitable home, including
- Bin management (external bins and internal bins)
- Cleaning tasks: windows, bathroom, kitchen, fridge/freezer, oven, floors, laundry, ironing/steaming
Nutrition & Meal Preparation
- Doing in-person supermarket shopping
- Unpacking and storing groceries
- Batch cooking and kitchen clean-up
Personal Care & Hygiene
- Help assist with conserving energy for daily showers by supporting with other daily living tasks
- Assist with clothing needs
Medication & Health
- Pick up prescriptions and over-the-counter medications and organise into pill organisers
- Support with budgeting, paperwork, and form-filling
Safety & Mobility
- Ensure she can move around her home safely and comfortably
Experience in support work or care (preferred but not essential)
- Own car and clean driving license (preferred but not essential)
- A kind, respectful, and patient approach
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and follow her preferences

All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required. If the role is offered on a self-employed basis, you will be responsible for the cost of your own DBS check.
