- Accompanying me on walks with my hearing working dog, and clearing up after him when needed
Essential Qualities & Requirements:
- Kind, patient, and sociable – someone who enjoys helping others
- Comfortable around animals – I have a lovely support dog and an indoor cat
- Ideally you have a driving licence and are happy to use your car to drive me and my support dog (fuel costs can be discussed)
- Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Ability to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
- Hygienic, tidy and well-organised
- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Honest and cheerful
- Ability to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
- Must be comfortable with pets and willing to support caring for them when necessary
- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
- Be able to work as part of a team (essential)
- Being able to sign using BSL is an advantage
