We are a friendly and sociable married couple, who are looking for a bank PA, to cover holidays to support us with living independently in our own home. Tasks will involve personal care, preparing meals and general domestic tasks such as helping with shopping and changing bedding, as well as providing some assistance with pushing my manual wheelchair. Accessing the local community may be required, including accompanying to medical appointments.
Must be happy to support with one of us going swimming and accompany in the pool.
Duties include:
- Eating and drinking assistance
- Moving and handling
- Housekeeping
- Shopping
- Cooking
- Dressing / undressing
- Support/ Assistance with Oral hygiene
- Support with going swimming - must be happy to accompany in the pool
- Accompanying and assisting employers on shopping trips when required
- Accompany employers when accessing social and leisure activities, such as going to a restaurant for lunch
- Accompanying employers to doctors/hospital appointments when required, transferring onto dentist's chair
- Accompanying and assisting employers on occasional longer journeys eg to visit family members
- Taking out rubbish - separating rubbish & recycling
- Laundry, hanging out to dry, ironing, putting away
- Changing bed linen
- Bed making
Qualifications & Personal qualities:
