We have partnered with an exciting video games studio based in Hertfordshire, who require a Senior Programmer to work on a range of new titles on PC and Console platforms. The studio has built a fantastic reputation and is known for their high-quality output, close relationship building, and has worked on a series of greatly received titles, some of which have earned several 9/10 and 10/10 reviews.
The studio founders have a long-standing history in creating some of the best games on the market on PC/Console platforms. This role will have you working closely with the management team and will get involved with various aspects of development, which includes liaising with other department leads and mentoring, motivating, and leading your own team.
They are looking for this individual to have high energy and passion for video games and constantly come up with new and innovative ideas for their new titles in the pipeline. Your core function will be to implement features to go into their new titles, such as easy to use mechanics and slick gameplay, while mentoring/managing a small team. This is a hands-on coding role so if you still enjoy programming and leading, this would be an ideal fit.
This role is hybrid working, with 2 days in-house and 3 days working remotely. Sadly we cannot support 100% remote work patterns.
There is a competitive salary on offer, including exclusive studio benefits, relocation assistance, pension, choice of laptop and a generous holiday allowance, which includes Christmas closures. This role is open to candidates who are eligible to work in the UK already.
Requirements:- Experience in the Games industry as a Programmer
- Past lead or Mentoring experience
- Strong Unity experience
- Experience of developing games on Console or PC (preferred)
- An avid player of indie games (especially the Anime world) would be a bonus!
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a studio who are working on amazing games, which have a great reputation in the game’s community.
