Independent Forgings and Alloys Ltd (IFA) sits uniquely as the only single sited forge with open-die radial, press, hammer & ring rolling AND closed-die extrusion, drop stamp and blade forging in the world. Over the last few years we have invested in the business and have successfully doubled our turnover. We are looking to continue this growth and are looking to grow our established team. Due to this continued investment and growth, we are looking to add to our Logistics team and we are looking for an experienced Export-Import Coordinator. This is a regular days position working 37 hours per week. Additional hours may be required at the end of each month. The Role The Export-Import Coordinator is responsible for managing the international shipment of goods, ensuring compliance with domestic and international regulations, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. This role involves detailed documentation, communication with freight forwarders and customs brokers, and ensuring adherence to trade laws and company policies. You will… * Coordinate and monitor all export and import shipments, including air, sea, and land transport. * Prepare and review documentation for customs clearance, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading. * Ensure compliance with all applicable trade regulations, including export control laws, customs requirements, and free trade agreements. * Have knowledge and understanding of using IPR (Inward processing) procedure for certain Imports * Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to schedule shipments and track delivery. * Maintain accurate records of all shipping transactions, customs documentation, and internal reports. * Work with sales, purchasing, warehousing, and finance departments to streamline shipping processes. * Resolve issues related to shipping delays, customs clearance problems, and incorrect documentation. * Provide guidance on duties, tariffs, and licensing requirements. * Monitor shipping costs and identify opportunities for cost savings. * Stay up-to-date on changes in trade compliance regulations and industry best practices. * Any other duties as may reasonably be required.
