We have a new opportunity to join our Senior Management Team. Over the last few years, we have invested in the business and have successfully doubled our turnover. We are continuing to invest in our site and are looking to add to our established management team.
As Senior Management, you will be jointly and collectively responsible for the overall performance, strategic direction, and long-term success of the business. This includes providing effective oversight of management, contributing to the development and execution of company strategy, ensuring robust governance and compliance frameworks are in place, and helping to drive sustainable growth. Your role will require active engagement in board decision-making, and collaboration with fellow board members to ensure the company achieves its stated goals and fulfils its obligations.
As the Technical & Quality Director, you will contribute to the business policies, objectives and strategies for Technical and Quality. You will coach and develop your technical, quality, inspection and testing teams to allow them to function to the best of their ability. You will oversee and direct the effectiveness of the quality system to AS9100 standards.
Reporting to the CEO, you will create and sustain a culture that is based on continuous improvement, supporting improvement strategies for both product and equipment. You will take the lead on significant technical and quality issues, be ‘hands-on’ with the issue, develop a plan to resolve the issue and communicate the plan and progress on the plan to the organisation.
To be successful in this role, candidates will hold a BA or BSc in an appropriate subject and have experience in Technical and Quality disciplines. An experienced leader, you will have a good working knowledge of general metallurgy and materials processing, ideally with expertise in the open or closed die forging of nickel alloys, titanium, stainless and carbon steels. Ideally, you would also have an understanding of the National and International quality standards including AS9100, NADCAP in HT, MMM, NDE, CP and MTL and UKAS 17025.
