Are you a Maintenance Engineer? Have you previously worked in a heavy forge environment? Do you want to work for one of the UK’s leading independent aerospace and industrial forgers? Independent Forgings and Alloys (IFA) have an exciting opportunity to join their Maintenance Engineering team as a Maintenance Fitter. The role is working Monday to Friday on a rotating 2 shift pattern: Monday to Friday - 6am-1.30pm and 12-7.30pm.
Main duties:
- Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks.
- Installation of new plant.
- Planning mechanical maintenance tasks for completion during the shutdown.
- Development and upgrading of existing equipment.
- Good knowledge of safety and permit to work systems.
More about you:
We would like you to be an apprentice trained Maintenance Engineer who is mechanically biased. You must have experience in a heavy forge environment coupled with good working knowledge of hydraulics, and mobile plant maintenance skills (manipulator, FLT and OHC). Experience of breakdowns on presses, hammers, lathes and borers would also be beneficial, however not essential.
