Independent Forgings and Alloys (IFA) are seeking a Production Planner to join their Production Control Team! As our Production Planner, you will:

  • Implement and maintain the computerised planning system to maintain departmental production schedules, forecast sales, and customer update information.
  • Liaise daily with production departments to ensure the plan is maintained or issues are reported and acted on appropriately.
  • Manage and expedite orders from order receipt to despatch, including communication with NPI teams and processes prior to production.
  • Work with the wider production control team to ensure all ancillary functions are kept at an appropriate standard - including stock control, management of sub-contractors, liaising with customers, and continuous improvement projects covering a wide range of activities.

More about you: We’d like you to have experience in planning workload on production equipment with great communication skills and strong IT skills. Ideally, you’ll have a good understanding of metal forging techniques and knowledge of the effects of hot working metals and the associated metallurgy.

More about IFA: We manufacture high-integrity, open-die and closed-die forged components in nickel alloy, titanium, stainless steel, and carbon alloys for customers and tier-one suppliers within the aerospace, nuclear, power generation, marine, as well as oil and gas sector. We are unique due to the combination of open and closed-die forging while also undertaking the whole production process from raw material to the finished product in one location.
