Working closely with the Head of People, you'll become a trusted partner to managers across the organisation, providing guidance on employee relations, policy and organisational change while helping to create a positive people culture.


Your responsibilities as Senior HR Advisor



  • Manage complex employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, performance and workplace conflict cases.

  • Provide expert guidance on employment law, HR policies and best practice to managers and stakeholders.

  • Lead and support organisational change programmes, including TUPE transfers, including due diligence, consultations and transition planning.

  • Coach managers to strengthen people management capability and reduce organisational risk.

  • Contribute to recruitment, onboarding and wider People projects that improve engagement and operational effectiveness.


What we're looking for in a Senior HR Advisor



  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or above.

  • Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and current HR best practice.

  • Proven capability managing complex employee relations casework.

  • Practical experience supporting organisational change programmes, including TUPE transfers.

  • Experience advising managers and senior stakeholders on complex people matters.

Contract: Permanent


Location: Based in York with travel across North and South Yorkshire


Hours: 30 hours per week. Hybrid working with option to work from home following successful completion of probation.
