An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administration Apprentice to join Independent Cleaning Services! You'll support the day-to-day running of the business across HR, Operations, Finance, Compliance and Customer Service, while gaining hands-on experience with industry-leading systems including Timegate and Cleanlink.
ICS Cleaning is a regional service provider based in the North of England, operating as part of the SPS Group. Their work spans contract cleaning, specialist cleaning, floor care, washroom management and education cleaning - delivered across schools, offices, retail sites, industrial premises and local authority buildings. At ICS - Independent Cleaning Services, they believe in investing in people. As an apprentice, you'll be supported every step of the way while developing the skills, knowledge, and confidence to build a successful career in business administration.
What You'll Do
- Assisting with the onboarding of new employees, including checking and verifying right-to-work and identification documents
- Ensuring employee compliance records are completed, filed, and maintained, including induction records, health questionnaires, and employment documentation
- Supporting DBS applications and maintaining safeguarding records for employees working in schools and other regulated environments
- Recording and filing client service reviews, audits, and quality assurance documentation
- Maintaining accurate electronic filing systems and updating company databases
- Using company systems, including Cleanlink and Timegate, to support daily administrative and operational tasks
- Processing purchase and sales invoices before forwarding documentation to the Accounts Department
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering cleaning products, uniforms, consumables, and office supplies
- Assisting with updates to the company website and social media platforms, including recruitment advertising
- Maintaining annual leave records and holiday information
- Issuing and recording staff uniforms while maintaining accurate stock control
- Answering telephone calls, responding to emails, and providing general administrative support
- Carrying out other reasonable administrative duties to support the wider business
