The Senior Talks & Sessions Programme Producer is a pivotal role at the heart of Sheffield DocFest’s unique voice and programme. Joining one of the world’s leading documentary film festivals, the postholder will curate, shape and deliver an ambitious programme of talks, masterclasses, panels, pitches and special events, bringing together leading filmmakers, creative talent, industry figures, partners and VIP guests.
Working closely with the Creative Director and teams across programming, industry, partnerships, production and operations, the postholder will develop bold programme ideas and turn them into exceptional live experiences. They will build trusted relationships with major partners and high-profile guests, shaping content and managing the guest journey from invitation through to the festival stage.
The role combines creative programming with hands-on production, including scheduling, budgets, guest logistics and on-site delivery. The postholder will lead the Talks & Sessions team and external producers, while contributing to fundraising, partnership development and reporting.
With a strong editorial instinct and passion for live events, the postholder will help define the conversations at Sheffield DocFest — connecting influential people, fresh ideas and audiences from across the international documentary community.
