Join our team at Grant & Stone Electrical Supplies, a respected independent builder’s merchant serving the Southeast since 1987. With a commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, we are part of the Independent Builders Merchant Group (IBMG), the largest independent merchant group in the South of England. We’re expanding our team at our Harrow Branch and are looking for a dependable Van Driver/ Branch Assistant to help us continue delivering excellent service to our trade and retail customers.
The Role
- Offer a high standard of service to customers who attend the branch, attending to their orders and enquiries.
- Dealing with orders and enquiries received from customers and potential customers.
- Processing customer telephone orders that come into the branch.
- Offering a high standard of customer service to maximise sales and customer satisfaction.
- Adopting a pro-active approach to maximise sales to existing customers.
- Actively making enquiries with customers who are not trading with Grant and Stone by exploring new sales opportunities where possible.
- Resolving customer queries, investigating complaints, and resolving these as soon as possible.
- Overseeing customer orders and helping to make sure orders go out in a good time frame.
- Be proactive in maintaining up to date technical knowledge of all products sold, ensuring that product knowledge is kept up to date with any technical product updates and changes.
- Ready to jump in, learn and become part of the business.
- Perform general warehouse duties in order to maintain a smooth operation.
- Attend training relating to the role if requested by the Company.
- Observe strict adherence to the Company’s health and safety procedures at all times.
- Undertake additional or alternative tasks and duties in line with the branch requirements.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Full clean UK Driving Licence essential.
- Basic addition and subtraction skills.

The Hours
- Week 1 Monday to Friday 07:00-17:15
- Saturday 08:00-12:00
