Join our team at Total Plumbing Supplies, a respected independent builder’s merchant serving the Southeast since 2001. With a commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, we are part of the Independent Builders Merchant Group (IBMG), the largest independent merchant group in the South of England.
We’re expanding our Showroom team at our Chard Branch and are looking for a dependable Showroom design consultant to help us continue delivering excellent service to our trade and retail customers.
The Role
We have a vacancy for a full time Showroom Consultant to join our team at our Chard Branch.
To maximise sales and margin for the Company. Build strong relationships through face-to-face contact or over the telephone. To ensure correct documentation is used and follow due process in a timely manner. To adhere to all Company policy and procedures

Responsibilities and Duties
- Deal with all customer queries as professionally and quickly as possibletaking responsibility for the start to end sales process.
- Preparing and managing effective meetings with customers in the showroom, or on site
- Executing and coordinating the sale of the bathroom.
- To ensure all customers are politely and efficiently served to guarantee customer satisfaction.
- Provide customers with advice and guidance on the selection and use of products.
- Give a flexible service to customers whether on site or in the customers’ homes.
- Drive sales forward using appropriate selling techniques
- Maximise sales using linked selling and other appropriate skills.
- All enquiries and quotations must be priced quickly and efficiently using market and system information
The Requirements
- Full driving licence
- Experience within bathroom sector
- Have good verbal communication skills with customers and other colleagues
- Ability to take and give instructions
- Be organizedin prioritizingworkload effectively
- Ability to work on own initiative and work as part of a team
- Maintain good knowledge of health and safety policy and procedures at all times
The Hours
Week 1: Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00
Week 2: Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00 Saturday 08:00-12:00
