Join our team at Grant & Stone Electrical, a respected independent builder’s merchant serving the Southeast since 1987. We are part of the Independent Builders Merchant Group (IBMG), the largest independent merchant group in the South of England. We’re expanding our team at our Maidenhead Electrical Branch and are looking for a dependable Warehouse Operative to help us continue delivering excellent service to our trade and retail customers.

We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Worker / Van Driver to join our team at Maidenhead, Grant & Stone Electrical. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing inventory, handling materials, and ensuring timely deliveries. Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklift equipment to move and store materials
  • Utilise the Warehouse Management System to track inventory and orders
  • Perform tasks, including heavy lifting to load and unload goods
  • Handle procedures with care and attention to detail
  • Conduct basic math calculations for inventory counts and order verification
  • Assist in sending and receiving processes
  • Collaborate with team members to efficiently load and unload
Driving Duties:
  • Deliver building materials to customers using a company van (3.5t or similar), ensuring safe and legal driving at all times.
  • Plan efficient delivery routes in line with schedules provided.
  • Ensure all goods are correctly loaded, secured, and signed for.
  • Provide excellent customer service upon delivery, resolving minor queries where possible.
  • Undertake various other driving jobs required in relation to the efficient operation of the business.
  • Assist in the yard area with deliveries and assist customers where necessary.
Requirements:
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Product Knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Self‑motivated with a can‑do attitude
  • Strong team player who works as part of a team and independently
Working Hours:
  • Week 1: Monday to Friday 07:00 – 17:15
  • Week 2: Monday to Friday 07:00 – 17:15, Saturday 08:00 – 12:00
