We are looking for a Yard Operative to support the safe and efficient running of our builders’ merchant yard.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Load and unload building materials and timber
- Pick and prepare customer orders
- Assist customers collecting goods from the yard
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe yard area
- Operate forklift trucks (if trained)
- Follow all health and safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
- Full UK driving licence
- Yard or builders’ merchant experience (desirable)
- Sales or product knowledge is a bonus
Working Hours
Monday – Friday 07:00–17:00
Saturday 08:00 – 12:00
