The Role
To manage and grow the showroom area of the SPS Lewes by providing excellent customer service, driving sales, and ensuring the showroom is well‑maintained and presented to the highest standards. You will lead the showroom team, engage with trade and retail customers, and promote kitchen, bathroom, and interior products.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the showroom
- Greet customers and provide expert advice on product ranges (kitchens, bathrooms, tiles, flooring)
- Work with trade professionals, architects, and retail clients to understand needs and suggest solutions
- Design and present layouts using CAD or design software (if applicable)
- Manage customer quotations, orders, and follow‑ups
- Drive sales performance and meet or exceed targets
- Train, support, and lead showroom staff
- Maintain showroom appearance and merchandising to reflect current trends and promotions
- Coordinate with suppliers and the warehouse to ensure product availability
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain accurate records and report on showroom activity and performance
The Requirements
- Proven experience in showroom sales, ideally in builders merchants or related industries (e.g., kitchens, bathrooms, interiors)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and sales focus
- Team leadership or supervisory experience
- Excellent customer service and problem‑solving abilities
- Product knowledge in construction/interiors (tiles, bathrooms, joinery, etc.)
- Experience using POS and CRM systems
- Knowledge of CAD or design software is a plus
- Full Driving Licence

Week 1: Monday to Friday 08:00‑17:00
Week 2: Monday to Friday 08:00‑17:00; Saturday 08:00‑12:00
