We’re now looking for a reliable and customer‑focused Trade Counter Sales Assistant to join our team at our High Wycombe branch.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Serving trade and retail customers at the counter
- Processing customer orders and enquiries face‑to‑face and over the phone
- Recommending products and solutions to meet customer needs
- Building strong relationships with existing customers and identifying new sales opportunities
- Resolving customer queries and complaints promptly and professionally
- Maintaining strong product and technical knowledge
- Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
- Supporting the branch with general day‑to‑day tasks
What We’re Looking For
- Trade counter or plumbing merchant experience
- DIY, builders’ merchant, or trade background (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
- Good industry and product knowledge
- Confident communication and customer service skills
- Basic numeracy skills (addition & subtraction)
- Ability to prioritise workload and work with minimal supervision
- Friendly, approachable, and a strong team player
- Willingness to undertake training and develop in the role
Working Hours
Week 1: Monday–Friday 07:30-17:15
Week 2: Monday–Friday 07:30-17:15, Saturday 08:00-12:00
