Due to continued growth and success, we have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Branch Manager to join our team at Total Plumbing Supplies Chard.
The Role
As Assistant Branch Manager, you’ll support the Branch Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the branch. You’ll help lead and motivate the team, improve customer experience, and drive sales and profitability while ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient branch operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting customers at the trade counter and over the phone
- Assisting with loading and general branch support when required
- Working alongside the Branch Manager on branch development and customer service
- Supervising and motivating a team of colleagues
- Supporting and delivering the branch sales plan
- Managing stock replenishment and maintaining appropriate stock levels
- Ensuring safe, efficient daily operations and H&S compliance
- Ensuring the best possible customer experience at all times
- Providing cover for the Branch Manager when required
- Carrying out additional duties as required to support the branch
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a similar supervisory or management role
- Excellent organisation and administration skills
- Confident communicator at all levels
- Strong sales awareness and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
- Approachable, professional, and team‑focused leadership style
Working Hours
Monday–Friday 07:00–17:00
Saturday 08:00–12:00
