Join our team at Grant & Stone Plumbing, a respected independent builder’s merchant serving the Southeast since 1987. With a commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, we are part of the Independent Builders Merchant Group (IBMG), the largest independent merchant group in the South of England. We’re expanding our delivery team at our Bedford Branch and are looking for a dependable Counter Sales Assistant / Warehouse Operative to help us continue delivering excellent service to our trade and retail customers.
The Requirements
- You will represent the branch and assist with the growth of the business working as a team to exceed sales targets.
- You will ensure that the needs of the customers are dealt with quickly and efficiently whilst providing a service that ensures that customers return on a regular basis.
- You may also be required to help in other roles within the branch including restocking the shop and stock control.
- Good building product knowledge gained within the building industry or builders’ merchant experience.
- The ability to build and maintain relationships with different types of customer.
- Comfortable operating a computer based sales processing system (full training will be given).
- Good telephone manner.
- Friendly, articulate, customer focused.
- The successful candidate must be proactive in their approach towards sales and a good communicator.
The Hours
Week 1: Monday to Friday 07:30 - 17:15
Week 2: Monday to Friday 07:30 - 17:15, Saturday 08:00 - 12:00
