London, South East England and East Anglia - Field Based

Main Purpose of Role

The Regional Business Manager is responsible for leading and developing a team of Territory Business Managers and Sales Associates to drive sales growth, increase market share, and support new patient acquisition across the renal and cancer therapy areas. Covering London, South East England and East Anglia, the role focuses on delivering commercial success through strategic leadership, customer engagement, and field-based coaching.

Working closely with healthcare professionals, NHS stakeholders, and internal cross-functional teams, the role supports the adoption and growth of the catheter pouch and specialist medical device portfolio through a referral-based model. The position requires a strong understanding of NHS systems, patient pathways, and market access processes to ensure alignment with customer and organisational objectives. This is a full-time, predominantly field-based leadership role, requiring regular engagement with customers and regional team members across the territory, alongside home-based planning and administration. Occasional overnight travel to the UK head office will also be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a regional team of Territory Business Managers and Sales Associates to achieve and exceed sales objectives.
  • Develop and implement regional business strategies aligned to company growth objectives across renal and cancer therapy areas.
  • Drive new patient growth, revenue generation, and market share expansion across the assigned territory.
  • Define, monitor, and exceed agreed sales targets and supporting KPIs.
  • Provide strategic direction and commercial insight to the wider commercial leadership team.
  • Forecast sales performance, risks, and opportunities, adjusting plans where required to optimise results.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, NHS stakeholders, payers, and key opinion leaders across community and acute care settings.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities, including account expansion and new account acquisition.
  • Support patient adoption through a referral-based sales model, increasing the number of patients using the products.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of NHS systems, clinical pathways, financial drivers, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), and prescribing processes within the territory.
  • Lead regional market access initiatives, including formulary inclusion and clinical guideline engagement.
  • Analyse market data, customer insights, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and execute territory and account plans aligned to wider business objectives.

Field Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide field-based coaching, mentorship, and ongoing development support to team members.
  • Train and develop the regional team on product knowledge, compliance requirements, customer engagement, and sales strategy.
  • Support team members in creating and executing personal development plans.
  • Conduct regular business reviews to monitor performance, track progress, and ensure actions are completed effectively.

Product & Customer Insight

  • Monitor product performance and gather customer feedback to support long-term forecasting and product development insight.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop value-based sales tools and customer engagement materials.
  • Support the development of value propositions and customer-centric commercial strategies.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, clinical, regulatory, R&D, digital, and commercial teams to support product success and business objectives.
  • Drive engagement and effective use of CRM systems to support business development activity and commercial reporting.
  • Support budget management activities to ensure effective return on investment across commercial initiatives.
  • Attend internal meetings and contribute to broader business objectives as required.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in medical device or healthcare sales management, ideally within consumable products or chronic care sectors.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets both as an individual contributor and people manager.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing commercial teams.
  • Strong understanding of NHS structures, stakeholder engagement, Integrated Care Systems (ICS/ICB), and prescribing pathways.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic territory and business plans using commercial insights and data analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills with the ability to build effective professional relationships and KOL networks.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Analytical mindset with experience in forecasting, territory planning, and performance analysis.
  • Ability to work independently while managing extensive field-based activity and multiple priorities.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience within renal, vascular access, cancer, or related therapy areas.
  • Experience within medical device solutions sales or clinical consulting environments.
  • Patient engagement or referral-based sales model experience.
  • Experience managing multi-product portfolios.
  • Degree or equivalent qualifications in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Science, Marketing, Business, or related discipline.
  • Experience developing clinical advocacy and product adoption strategies with healthcare professionals.
  • Understanding value proposition development and market access processes.
