Overview
Are you an experienced social care leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care? We are seeking a committed and capable Registered Service Manager to work flexibly across service locations to provide leadership cover, support service continuity, and respond to operational needs in our respite service, providing short-term support to individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and complex needs. This is a key leadership role where you will ensure the safe, effective, and responsive delivery of care, supporting individuals and their families by providing meaningful, high-quality short breaks that promote wellbeing, independence, and choice. You will be responsible for ensuring the service operates in line with all regulatory requirements, embedding best practice, and leading a positive and inclusive team culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong, visible leadership to a dedicated team.
- Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and organisational policies.
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred support that reflects individual preferences and needs.
- Oversee care planning, risk management, and safeguarding practices.
- Manage staffing, recruitment, performance, and development.
- Maintain effective partnership working with families, commissioners, and external professionals.
- Drive continuous improvement, quality assurance, and service development.
- Ensure governance, reporting, and operational processes are consistently completed.
- Participate in on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a management role within adult social care.
- Strong understanding of CQC requirements and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience delivering or overseeing respite or residential care services (desirable).
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards).
- A confident and motivating leader with excellent people management skills.
- Strong communication and organisational abilities.
- A proactive approach with a commitment to high standards of care.
- Full UK driving licence required and access to a vehicle for business use.
Salary and Contract
Salary: £40,766.50 per annum. Full time 37 hours per week, permanent.
