Indelible is a pre-investment startup building the infrastructure to fund nature — combining embedded finance innovation to unlock nature and climate capital across the Global South and the world. We’ve launched our MVP Pay2Nature recently (www.pay2nature.co.uk) and now we’re preparing for our next chapter: building an institutional-grade platform for banks, telcos, corporates, and capital allocators to launch Nature Funds, monitor impact, and embed forever into global financial systems. We’re looking for a mission-led CTO or Founding Engineer to join as a true partner. Someone ready to shape the product and tech roadmap, help lead a lean team, and build tools that don’t just scale — but matter.
What You’ll Own:
- Lead the architecture for the design and development of our embedded finance infrastructure called Pay2Nature.
- Build a modular, API-first platform for institutional clients (banks, corporates, telcos).
- Integrate payment rails (Stripe, Mobile Money, Stablecoins) and ESG tooling (TNFD, SDR, DMRV).
- Translate real-world sustainability needs into fintech products that are scalable, secure, and auditable.
- Shape the technical vision, architecture, and culture of the company from the ground up.
- Partner closely with the founder on product, hiring, and strategy; mentor the lead engineer(s).
- A self-starter with previous experience building fintech or B2B SaaS products (especially in infrastructure, payments, or API platforms).
- Comfortable leading hands-on development (ideally full-stack or strong backend) and a natural ideator, visionary and leader who brings others along with them.
- Deeply interested in nature, biodiversity, or ESG, and eager to build meaningful tools for good.
- Excited by the potential of nature capital and committed to scaling impact across Africa and the Global South. Experience in Africa a major plus.
- Based in UK, EU or timezones that correlate.
- A co-founder mentality — someone who owns the tech piece and enables the CEO to go off and grow the business.
