Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on diesel trucks and related equipment
  • Perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and component replacements
  • Complete engine, transmission, and drivetrain work based on experience level
  • Utilize OEM diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Communicate job status and repair updates with service leadership
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
  • Work collaboratively with parts and service teams to complete repairs efficiently

Qualifications

  • At least one (1) year of mechanical experience required (diesel preferred)
  • Basic understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems, and diagnostics
  • Ability to use diagnostic software and service manuals, or willingness to learn
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license required (CDL preferred but not required)
  • Ability to lift, bend, climb, and work in a shop environment

Technician roles are physically demanding and require prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.

Occasional heavy lifting and pushing/pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds (or more) may be required.

While performing the duties of this job, the Technician will frequently use hands to manipulate and grasp objects; reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, stretch, or twist to perform repairs and inspections.

Good vision to inspect repair work and effective communication are essential.

Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
