The Principal Consultant will be tasked with delivering excellent management consulting services across 3 primary service lines: Design; Change and Delivery. The role blends strong delivery ownership with leadership responsibilities and requires the use of influencing and management skills to deliver effective solutions for complex business challenges. The Principal Consultant may work alone or as part of a wider team, with accountability for customer-facing projects and delivery teams, internal company growth, and personal development.

Our team is oriented around the 3 strategic drivers of the business: Customer, Colleague, and Company, and as such, all Principal Consultants will have responsibilities in each of these areas. The role includes supporting the development of junior colleagues and modelling of proactive work ethic, clear communication, strategic consulting capability, strong customer focus, balanced work-life practices, and compassionate leadership.

    Responsibilities

    • Customer
    • Lead broad range of customer engagements in variety of environments including complex and non-routine, ensuring delivery against Consulting Standard Practices (CSP)
    • Conduct research, analysis, and synthesis of insights to address complex customer challenges
    • Produce high‑quality deliverables including benchmarking, market reviews, and solution recommendations
    • Identify opportunities for additional customer value and support in developing follow‑on engagements
    • Ensure best practice is shared with customers, including through leveraging the ‘Associate’ network
  • Colleague
    • Take proactive role in strengthening the Indegene Colleague Support Model by role‑modelling values and fostering an inclusive collaborative working environment
    • Lead and support direct line reports ensuring their wellbeing, motivation to perform and develop
    • Hold overall responsibility for execution of employee life-cycle activities for direct line reports
    • Provide mentorship, coaching, and guidance to colleagues on internal and customer-facing work as required
    • Support team cohesion and knowledge‑sharing across Indegene
  • Company
    • Engage proactively in strategic or operational initiatives aligned with the company growth plan and own specific aspects of the growth strategy
    • Proactive involvement in business development including account management. Support development of any opportunities, proposal or contracts
    • Lead service line development and initiatives, thought leadership, continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
    • Maintain accurate reporting across internal systems (capacity planning, project logs, case studies)

    Qualifications

    • Essential
    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
    • Other qualifications relevant to the role (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, etc.)
    • Experience in management consulting or related transformation environment
    • Proficiency with MS Office suite and relevant consulting tools (e.g., process mapping, analytics, financial modelling)
    • Project Management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP) or demonstrated experience leading workstreams/medium‑sized projects
  • Desirable
    • Master’s degree
    • Sector‑specific expertise/experience
